Dewatering study Phoenix Tower Tel Aviv
Objectif: Dewatering of six underground levels in the center of Tel Aviv (Israël).
Methodology: Design of the dewatering with a numerical groundwater model for several scenarios: dewatering and discharging pumped water to the sewage system, dewatering with shallow/deep reinjection, dewatering with bottom plug. Based on the results and a price estimation, the optimal scenario was chosen and further elaborated considering a possible overlap in time with the dewatering of Ben Gurion station and groundwater pollution.
Results: The scenario of dewatering with deep reinjection was chosen. The hydraulic resistance between the pumping wells at the top and the reinjection wells at the bottom of the aquifer needs to be determined with a pilot test (pumping tests and reinjection test).
